Here are a set of randomly generated 1st generation 4D CAPTCHAs, so you can see the variation across images.
These differ from the 1st batch used for the study and contain "fixes" learned from that test:
- Better image contrast
- Smoother camera bounce
- 8 colors (vs 4)
It really should be 4
- 5 characters with a 40-character set using 4 fonts
- 21 unique letters
'q' vs 'Q' - two different entries in a character set, but when checking for correctness, it's the same letter.
I discuss many of these issues/fixes in the
vappic blog.
Animated catpchas are not meant to be seen on the same page. They are just too busy; however, it's nice to be able to compare them.
So, to make it easier on the eyes, there is extra spacing between each. Scroll down to see them.
Here are some thoughts on a possible 2nd generation:
- Each letter rotates, but in a fixed order.
